Why is positive skewness preferred over negative skewness?
In negative skewness our probability to generate higher returns is more which a small chance of negative returns (outliers on the left side of the graph). Meanwhile in case of positive skewness, probability of less than average returns is high with only a small chance of unexpectedly high returns (outliers on the right side of the graph).
