1. CFA LEVEL I CLASS SCHEDULE May 2025
2. CFA L1 Aug 24 Result||Jai Shree Krishna||
Hi. I am writing this string since I am tired of giving lame excuses to myself and I am fully responsible for whatever situation I am in right now.
Firstly, to introduce you all to my journey,
2019 –
I have started my professional journey by preparing for my CA CPT alongwtith my 12th standard (and for that I chose a college which had less attendence, and hence no friends at college). June 2019 – Gave CPT and cleared it in 1st attempt. Then immediately after the exams came and before the results were out, I started my CA Inter early bird classes. I did it simultaneously with my FY Bcom.
2020 –
3rd May, 2020 my CA Inter exams were due which unfortunately, were postponed due to covid 2019.
Till mid Jan 2020 for CA Inter, I religiously covered my entire classes with JK Shah. I was filled with so much passion that I joined a library and used to be in the library from 8am till 10 pm everyday with a break of just 2 hrs and around effective studies of 9 to 10 hrs everyday. I was very sure that I, in no circumstance will give myself any chance to regret that I lagged in giving my efforts.
27rd March, 2020!! JUNTA CURFEW. I know the date and certainly remember that it was Sunday and suddenly lockdown was announced by our honourable PM Modi ji. That was the day from when I used to give myself excuses that if only this lockdown didn’t come, I would’ve passed the exams.
19th June – the ICAI postponed my exams on this date.
29th July – the ICAI postponed my exams on this date.
1st November – the ICAI postponed my exams on this date.
14th December- the ICAI postponed my exams on this date. This was the date on which exams were actually conducted.
From 27th March till 14th December, I developed a lot of bad habits like spending full time on youtube, craving for some positive news that the ICAI would now take exams, the ICAI would now take the exams and give us some time to cool down and study for real. Then alongwith time, I lost track of my study schedule and my during full 9 months, not even I started procrastinating my studies but also developed a bad habit of blaming that the circumstances are such that I don’t get success. My full positive approach which I had during the start of 2020 was reversed into negativity and always blaming someone else for my deeds. I was too much out of control of myself that physically(my weight rose up to 100 kgs), mentally( I started giving excuses), academically(I completely stopped studying), socially( I didn’t make friends since I was afraid that I had to leave them too for my career as I had left my old school friends) and from the point of view of career( since without CA, I would just be a Bcom Graduate which practically is just a piece of paper without any worth). I did not give the exams in December since I was not prepared.
2021 –
Jan – I, totally underprepared, gave a shot at my first attempt of CA Inter. I was totally careless of what the results would be as I didn’t prepare for the same. Feb – And here starts the cycle of building myself back to the condition I was during my 12th standard i.e. full of sincereity.
March – Results were announced and I did not clear. This was the first failure in my entire academic life. In school, I used to always be in the top 5 students and here I was, facing my first failure in my life. It was at that moment that I determined to become CA at any cost.
27th April – the ICAI postponed my exams on this date due to the announcement of COVID 19 2nd wave. I was filled with mixed emotions that whenever I determine to become strong and gain control of my life, I certainly get a setback. I was deeply afraid that this cycle of COVID 19 would ruin one more year of my life when I already I had committed my precious 2018, 2019 and 2020 i.e. 12th, FY Bcom, SY Bcom constantly putting efforts towards only one goal i.e. becoming CA.
May – I spent a lot of time in finding and trying to recollect from what resources I had studied.
6th July- My 2nd attempt was held and of course, I was not prepared due to the bad habits I had developed during 2020. I, here want to take full responsibility for my failure and not blame on any external forces.
August – I relaxed waiting for my results
19th Spet – Result came and I failed.
6th Dec – I can say that I gave my first attempt on this date and with some level of enthusiasm and certainty but I didn’t have had enough time to prepare as after results, I only had 1 month to prepare for both groups. I didn’t clear even in this attempt.
2022 –
Jan to May – I started without waiting for my results and decided to give only group 1 and focus to clear that group. In the same period, I was given ultimatum from my parents that if I didn’t clear, I would have to go to foreign for the studies by taking student loan. I knew that I am not a coward and would not disregard my commitment of becoming a CA. I gave my exams and for the first time in my life, I was so happy that I can’t explain. All my efforts didn’t seem to go in vain.
May to Dec – I gave myself some more time and decided to prepare and clear my group 2 in Nov 2022 itself and later do articleship from the BIG 4s. After giving exams, I gave my IT and OC course in December. Alongwith that, I applied for my articleship in top 10 firms in Mumbai (since I stay in Kandivali, Mumbai).
2023 –
11th Jan – Results were out and I did not clear my Group 2.
16ht Jan – Out of those 10 firms, I went for my walkin interview at Khimji Kunverji and Co LLP for my articleship. I was selected and started my articleship there. I got a huge exposure in Statutory Audit of listed companies, Listed Banks, and NBFC’s.
Jan to May – I prepared a daily planner and started my preparations with a new zeal and I made a point to study for atleast 4 hrs in the morning and also used to listen to the revision lectures whenever I was traveling from my home to the client place. I gave my whole time and I am fairly sure that I gave my time religiously. On not clearing my Group 2, I was broken from inside that even after giving proper 6 months in Nov 2022 and 6 months in 2023, I was unable to clear my exams. It was at this time that I started searching for some alternative course that can fetch me some income till the time I crack my CA dream.
Since I was going for my articleship, I used to talk to my seniors and ask them for which courses are best to start decent amount of income given my interests in the share market and in FM subject we had in CA Inter. Then I came across a person who seemed to have a lot of knowledge in the finance field. I asked him from where did he learn all that and he said only one word – “Sanju bhai”. I was intrigued and soon found out the Sanjay sir not only teaches CA students but also teaches a course that I have interests in. I am not making anything up but I was pretty sure that I want to do CFA first, start my job and then resume my journey towards completing CA.
Jyly- So, I took up Sanjay sir’s CFA Level 1 Gold for CA/CMA I planned my studies and was sure that I will complete it alongwith my CA.
July to December – I realised that working in a firm alongwith CA Inter and CFA L1 lectures is not my cup of tea. I gave my November attempt in CA Inter
2024 –
Jan – My CA Inter results came out and failed again. I was highly dejected and decided to leave my articleship and focus on CFA.
22nd Jan, 2024 – I registered for my L1 August, 2024 and started planning for leaving my firm.
Feb to May – it took me 2 months to leave the firm. At this time, I wasn’t studying anything.
May – I watched only Sanjay sir’s lectures
June- I watched only Sanjay sir’s lectures
July – I watched only Sanjay sir’s lectures
20 August – Till 20th August I just revised the lectures I studied and solved candidate resources quiz of the CFAI Instite. I did not give any mocks being in a ego that I am a CA student and it would be a cakewalk for me.
8th Oct, 2024 – I go my CFA L1 result and I did not pass. This was the biggest shock in my life as I come from a middle class family and 1.5 lac is a huge amount for us.
12th Oct, 2024 – I fought with my family and against their denial, registered for my CFA Level1 which will be held on 16th May, 2024.
I, hereby publicly declare that I will utilise every last resource I have and pass as per the timelines mentioned below.
