As the title suggests, I’m in my final year of B.Com. and will graduate by June/July next year. I just gave my CFA L1 exam this November ’23. If I do pass, I plan to give L2 in August’24. But what then? I am into stock market and investing and that’s what interested me to go for CFA. But how I do convert this into something more that in future it “brings me up the ladder” in my career. Beside these, currently I’m learning more about equity research and reporting, have fair idea about financial modelling. But nothing else after this, no workex or any internships.
Can someone in the finance field gave a heads on what I should expect or look for when I graduate? Should I give CAT (MBA) too next year? What more upskilling I should do in the next 6-7 months of my college? How to identify which finance role I should go for in future? And how to achieve it as a freshie?
From the texts above, it obviously feels like I’m panicking. Help a junior out, any word from you all is appreciated.
